Click-baiting Content

example of clickbait

Definition

Click-baiting content (or clickbait) is text or images that are designed to gain attention and entice users to “click” through a link thereby redirecting them to another web location. This content often uses sensational or deceptive elements to motivate people to click.

Click-baiting content is intended to redirect users to another location and therefore is distinct from scroll-stopping content.
