Channel Flows

Definition

Channel flows refer to the marketing functions performed by manufacturers, wholesalers, retailers, and other channel members within the channel. Eight universal channel flows have been identified:

  • physical possession
  • ownership
  • promotion
  • negotiation
  • financing
  • risking
  • ordering
