Dealer Tie-In

dealer-tie-inDefinition

A dealer tie-in is a manufacturer-sponsored sales promotion activity, such as a contest, sweepstakes, use of in-store display materials, or sampling, in which retailers actively participate in some way and are mentioned in the manufacturer’s advertising of the sales promotion (which may take the form of cooperative advertising).

Dealer tie-in can also refer to any listing or mention of retailers in a manufacturer’s advertising; sometimes referred to as a dealer imprint or dealer listing.[1][2]
