High-pressure selling (or hard sell) is an approach in which the salesperson attempts to control the sales interaction and pressure the customer to make a purchase. [1]
It may also refer to an advertising style that is aggressive, forceful, and to-the-point in its attempt to influence the brand’s audience. [2]
