In marketing, image is the consumer perception of a product, institution, brand, business, or person, which may or may not correspond with reality. [2]

Image advertising can be understood as a form of native advertising in which ads are placed on the images on web pages or the internet. Image advertising offers less intrusive and more native exposure to ads in comparison to the standard display ads. [3]
