Publicity

Definition

Publicity is non-paid-for communication of information about the company or product, generally via some media vehicle.

A junket is a publicity device in which members of the media are brought to a company to observe the product being made, research facilities, etc. Note: This term is more commonly used to refer to paid casino trips and movie promotions.

publicist is the person responsible for managing the publicity program for a product or organization.
