Marketer

Definition

Marketer in the broadest sense refers to anyone who develops, plans, or executes a marketing plan and/or manages the marketing mix in terms of the 4 Ps; product, promotion, price and place (distribution).

It often more narrowly refers to individuals whose primary job is to present products to the market in a way that satisfies the intended customer and achieves the seller’s objectives. This includes defining a brand’s positioning and strategy.

Marketer can also refer to an organization which engages in marketing.
