Click-baiting content or clickbait refers to text or images that are designed to gain attention and entice users to “click” through a link thereby redirecting them to another web location. This content often uses sensational or deceptive elements to motivate people to click. [1]

Click-baiting content is intended to redirect users to another location and therefore is distinct from scroll-stopping content. [1]

Click Fraud refers to clicks on a pay-per-click advertisement that are motivated by something other than a search for the advertised product. Click fraud may be the result of malicious or negative competitor/affiliate actions motivated by the desire to increase costs for a competing advertiser or to garner clickthrough costs for the collaborating affiliate. Also affects search engine results by diluting the quality of clicks. [2]
